Open PBS and Torque have the same interfaces, right? (commands and library APIs)

So I would just add a common "provides" in both the PBS and Torque RPMs, and then Maui will be happy either way.

This is assuming that Maui doesn't invoke any PBS/Torque commands, which, although I don't know much about Maui, seems to make sense (i.e., PBS/Torque invoke/use Maui, not the other way around).

Just my $0.02...

Hello,

Trying to install torque + maui on Fedora Core 2.

At the time of this writing, it is not possible to install maui with
torque because the maui package provided by OSCAR (maui-oscar) is build
 with openpbs and require openpbs.

It is not possible to install openpbs & torque RPMs
as they provides the same files.

Quick question : Is it possible to support both in the same package ?

My first solution would be to build maui without requesting openpbs or
torque. Has someone already tried this ?

Is maui requesting the command line tools or any kind of library ?

The best solution : Make a virtual package (called oscar-queuing-system)
that is provided by both openpbs (|client|server) and torque. However,
given that torque will be the default choice, I'm not sure it is worth
the price (i.e. : recompiling pbs, torque, maui,) and I'm not
volunteering to do/maintain that ;-)
