Bernard,

In the next release, we can put a check in the wizard to make sure Tom’s version rpm is installed.  If it is, then allow the wizard to start, if not, don’t.  If we then make sure the Tom’s rpm is installed just before install_cluster runs the wizard, we can be fairly confident the current config is OK.  We can then use this, i.e., run install_cluster the first time and oscar_wizard subsequent times, as SOP (standard operating procedures).

Subject: [Oscar-devel] scripts/oscar_wizard

Hey guys:

I was talking to a user on IRC, and he told me that he has been running scripts/oscar_wizard to bring up the menu after the initial setup.

This brings up the menu much faster then install_cluster ethx, and is quite in line with our idea about 'install_cluster' and 'manage_cluster'.  The only issue I see is that it doesn't update oscarinstall.log.

Comments?

Thanks,

Bernard
