Category: Installation Group: 4.1 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 6 Submitted By: DongInn Kim (donginn) Assigned to: David N. Lombard (dnl) Summary: rpm conflict error after downloading packages via opd Initial Comment: A user can download any packages via opd at step 0 "Download Additional OSCAR Packages..." and then just go step 3 "Install OSCAR Server Package" without selecting the downloaded package at step 1. As expected, the unselected package should not affect the packages supposed to be installed. But it causes rpms conflict errors at step 3. For more specific case, I downloaded pbs via opd and went to step 3 and then got the rpm conflict error b/w torque and pbs even though pbs is not selected to be installed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bernard Li (bernardli) Date: 2005-02-08 16:44 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=879102 Yes I just tested it again (with the latest trunk) and it is exactly the same (see comment on 2005-02-03). Thanks Dave. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: David N. Therefore even though OpenPBS was not selected to be installed, it was picked (by DepMan?) to be installed and thus caused the conflict. Docfix needs to be updated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bernard Li (bernardli) Date: 2004-12-17 11:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=879102 - I confirmed this on FC2 server - a possible workaround is to select pbs then unselect it, in the 'Select OSCAR Packages to Install' step - DongInn will attempt a doc fix for now ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=1086687&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
