I think the default is both, i.e., if there is no filter then the rpm gets installed on both the server and the image. I do not know if this is enforced...i'd definitely use a filter.

AT ANY RATE, some of the rpmlists make no sense... Like oda? Why is it that only some of the distro filters actually specify oda? Most actually specify almost everything *but* oda.
Technical question: The oda package may actually reduce to:
<rpmlist> <rpm>oda</rpm> </rpmlist>
<rpmlist> <filter group="oscar_clients"/> <rpm>oda</rpm> </rpmlist>
What are the rules on no filter w.r.t. "oscar_server" and "oscar_client"?
