You will probably need to update DepMan/UpdateRPMs.pm for CentOS and Scientific Linux support, to get around the 'No usable concrete DepMan module was found' issue. This was required for Mandriva Linux 10.1 support.
I think we should definitely continue the dialog about the OS_Detect framework, and make sure we all agree on what the framework is going to do, and provide us. If someone wants to take lead and integrate it into 4.2, please let me know. Otherwise, I think this is something we can leave for 5.0.
