Category: Installation Group: 4.2 Status: Open >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Fernando Laudares Camargos (laudares) Assigned to: Bernard Li (bernardli) Summary: Ganglia issue with multicast routes Initial Comment: Shortly: when ganglia is installed and working properly, some pvm tests don't pass in stage 8 of the Wizard: ---------------------------------------------------- [FAILED] envvar-pvm_arch.apt [FAILED] envvar-pvm_root.apt [FAILED] pvmd-path-which.apt [FAILED] pvm-module-list.apt [FAILED] pvm-module-show-pvm_rsh.apt [FAILED] pvm-module-show-pvm_arch.apt --------------------------------------------------------- If I reboot the machine, then is Ganglia's test that don't pass, while all PVM related tests are OK. Bernard believe somehow that this is related with routes (?) and he was seen playing with Mandrake's 'static-routes' to find a solution for this problem ;-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Bernard Li (bernardli) Date: 2005-08-10 23:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=879102 Fix checked into trunk r3475. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bernard Li (bernardli) Date: 2005-08-10 14:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=879102 This has nothing to do with PVM, this is because currently the route was added temporarily (during install) and when the server is rebooted, the route no longer exists. I have a solution to create static permanent routes. The PVM bug is probably related to this bug: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1170079&group_id=9368&atid=109368 I'm renaming the summary of the bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=1256189&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Oscar-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/oscar-devel
