These directories (and the
files in them) are created when the
lam-switcher-modulefile RPM is installed
-- in the %post scriptlet.
They invoke switcher to add the lam* names
to the switcher repository
(which ends up making that directory,
etc.).
So you might want to look at how you converted
the
lam-switcher-modulefile to an RPM. I don't know exactly what the
MPICH
RPM does (who maintains that, anyway?), but it's something
similar.
