I had some similar issues with a buggy network card driver. Check with the mfg and see if there is an updated version of the driver available, or known problems that might affect OSCAR.
Also you might boot off a rescue cd, check if the cards are working, and then make sure both images are using the same driver. Check in /etc/modprobe.conf at least. Have you tried the boot disk option on those nodes? You can mix and match network booting and using the boot disk if you need to. You could also try one of the 4.2 branch nightly builds. They have a newer versions of systemimager and some other software so might help. You would have to start from scratch if you wen't that route though.
