Hello,

Bernard, you were right: I had to add a line for "mandriva-release" in both
DepMan/UpdateRPMs.pm and PackMan/RPM.pm from packman-depman. I changed the source and
then rebuild the packages and it now works.

A weird thing is that, when rebuilding that rpm, the system fails with the
following warnings:
--------------------------
Traitement des fichiers: packman-depman-1.44-1
erreur: Fichier non trouvé:
/var/lib/tmp/packman-depman-root/usr/share/man/man3/PackMan.3.gz

Actually, the real files are *bz2* and not *gz*. I changed the SPEC file but *I
don't commited anything*: I don't know if this is really a mistake or some
Mandriva variation.

But update-rpms is working now, so I can proceed with the development.
Thanks Bernard!

Hi Fernando:

You'll need to update the packman-depman* RPMs:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] OSCAR]# pwd
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/OSCAR
[EMAIL PROTECTED] OSCAR]# grep -R "mandrake" *
DepMan/UpdateRPMs.pm: mandrake-release
DepMan/UpdateRPMs.pm: mandrakelinux-release
PackMan/RPM.pm: mandrake-release
PackMan/RPM.pm: mandrakelinux-release

Someone volunteer to convert it to support OS_Detect?

Cheers,

Bernard

Hi,

I'm so sorry Bernard: I actually send you the *wrong* typescript...

The correct one follows, but it doesn't say much....

Cheers,
Fernando

Hi Bernard,

the typescript of the installation follows...
I rebuilded UPDATE-RPMS just to be sure, but I got the same results.
I have no clue to what could be possibly wrong.

Cheers,
Fernando

Hey Fernando:

Perhaps some error logs would help.

Did you try rebuilding update-rpms SRPM?

Cheers,

Bernard

Hi David,

I don't know why but UPDATE-RPMS is not working fine under Mandriva 2006... Do you know what could probably be the reason for that? I have no clue. I'm "export DEBUG_UPDATE_RPMS=y" as usual. Thank you,
