Well, 4.2 is final. Do you mean a 4.2.1b1? I guess it doesn't make much difference to the bug.

I just checked and it appears that our crontab file is ok. There is no <CR> after the appended line however in /etc/crontab. Also, the stuff gets pushed out as expected. This is an older copy of 4.2b2 i think running on centos, x86-64.

Go ahead and file a bug if you think you have a problem. Something may have happened somewhere along the line.

Let me kick this around to the group before I post a bug.

I just finished installing two 36-node clusters (em64t and Itanium 2)
using the latest beta of OSCAR 4.2 on RHEL3U5. Everything works or has
been documented as an issue, except that sync_files isn't running.

As OSCAR sets up the crontab file, sync_files should run every 15
minutes, but it's failing to run on both clusters, even after reboot. No
error messages as I can see and all of the other cron jobs are running.

I opened the crontab file with vi and it reported that it was missing
EOF. I added a <CR> after the sync_files line, saved it, and restarted
crond. After that, logs show sync_files running every 15 minutes.

Is this a known issue or am I just missing something?

Thanks,

Jeremy
