I've been wondering why more packages aren't in the step 0 aditional packages, rather then in the growing tarball?

What about using the tarball to distribute only really core things, and have everything else downloadable just in-time, or for the user to mirror for their arch locally (by a script?)

This would keep the tarball size smaller, and could allow for patches to packages seperate from oscar releases (is this a good thing?)

My only concern is that this will make our tarball really bloated as we
continue to support more distributions. But I guess for now I will just
duplicate the RPMs.
