Hi OSCAR-devel,

Sorry to sort of butt-in...
> I've been wondering why more packages aren't in the step 0 aditional
> packages, rather then in the growing tarball?
> What about using the tarball to distribute only really core things, and
> have everything else downloadable just in-time, or for the user to
> mirror for their arch locally (by a script?)
>From a purely bandwidth-related point fo view, I would really like to
see this happen - it takes us over 36 hours to get an OSCAR tarball
down to Cape Town... There are certain packages that we can do
without, and would only add them just-in-time as you say, when users
clamour. What is the minimum of packages that _have_ to be bundled
with the trunk ?

Thanks
Bruce
