Hi,
I have spent all day working in the support of Mandriva 2006. My "base trunk"
is not exactly the same of today's OSCAR trunk, but I will talk more about that later.
I have partially succeed with the installation, however I would like to present
you some points:
1)The setup script of perl-XML-Simple forces the use of a specific version of
the rpm (2.14-2.1.el3.rf), which is a problem because Mandriva comes with its
own rpm that is newer and works better than the one provided with OSCAR.
2)I don't know why but *pxelinux.0* is not under /usr/lib/syslinux (and I
couldn't find it anywhere else), so the system fails in Step 6. I manually
copied this file from another machine to be able to go on, but I will have to
come back to this issue. Does anybody knows where this file come from? I would
expect that it should be installed by the syslinux rpm, which was not the case.
3)The apitests in Step 6 fails because the 'elementtree' is copied under
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages and when the script calls 'python' is the one
under /usr/lib/python2.4 thas executes. Manually copying this package there
also works.
4)Finally, the ssh tests fails in stage 8, but I can ssh and scp from the
server to the client and back without a problem. Any clue?
Cheers,
