Yup.

Although if you do not plan to use the LAM/MPI which OSCAR provides, you don't really need to worry about it, you can ignore the failed test.  (Though make sure your users end up using the correct LAM/MPI version)

Subject: RE: [Oscar-devel] OSCAR and FC4 x86_64 on EM64T --- LAM/MPI test fail

Hi Bernard,
Can I recompile it after the oscar installation. Should I do it like this?
rebuild the lam.src.rpm
uninstall the original lam installed on headnode and compute nodes
install the new rpm on headnode and compute nodes.
Thank you,
Andy

Hey Andy:

Just re-compile LAM/MPI with TORQUE installed, then it will be fine.

Subject: [Oscar-devel] OSCAR and FC4 x86_64 on EM64T --- LAM/MPI test fail

Hi,

With regard to my recent OSCAR installation on EM64T cluster running FC4 x86_64, all tests passed except LAM/MPI. The error is:

ERROR: LAM/MPI does not appear to have the tm boot SSI module!
This test script will now abort.
I will not use the LAM installed by OSCAR, since I recompiled lam-7.1.1 with ifort. And the new LAM wor ks fine. Will there be any potential harm due to the pre-installed LAM?

So far, I have used the packages c3, switcher, lam, and pbs, and they work.

Thank you
Andy
