Hi Erich: It has never worked for any platform I have tested on - each time I have to manually run createrepo (this goes for fc4, rhel4, and now fc3).
I suspect there are issues with comparing the pool.md5 with whatever's on the system, I ran out of time to troubleshoot this. I think basically the comparison was executed, but it *thinks* that it's the same and does not update the repo.
