Hi Fernando:

We had the problem where mpif77 did not build on Fedora Core 5 since it
uses gfortran, perhaps it's the same issue. Did you try the latest
version? mpich-ch_p4-gcc-oscar-1.2.7-7 works for us.

To confirm whether the resulting RPM has mpif77, do a listing of the rpm
(rpm -qlp) and make sure it has '/usr/bin/mpif77'.

That error message is actually not good. It could mean one of 2 things:

1) it cannot find laminfo
2) it really does not have SSI module

To confirm 1), can you check to see if /opt/lam-7.1.2/bin/laminfo
exists? And if so, run it and check to see if tm is installed?

If 2), then you need to ensure that TORQUE is installed when you build
LAM/MPI. The exact commands for building the RPM is in the Trac
DeveloperDocs (along with instructions for building other RPMs).

Cheers,

Bernard
