Hi Bernard:

It works!!
Could have been r5037 that I tried earlier, or that I had a disk hardware 
problem on the second scsi node I tried, or that I just *assumed* since there 
is an ide.disk and scsi.disk there must be a reason. Can that misleading 
filename be changed? (eg. node.disk) and would it work if the contents said: 
/dev/??a1 (just to emphasize that it is generic?)
