Hi, the wiki page describing the new config.xml format is not there, yet. Don't know who was planning to make it, but some explanations for the package building are at https://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/trac/oscar/wiki/BuildOpkg Please take care about the new distro/ subdirectories and add filters for limiting the applicability of an OPD package to the distributions and architectures on which it really works!
The config.xml script conversion is not perfect, as far as I remember one might need to replace some strings after the conversion was done. Invoke with a config.xml file as argument. The file will be replaced. Using OPD requires that one has LOCAL oscar repositories on the master node, i.e. doesn't use remot (.url type) repositories. This is because an OPD triggers the copying of the packages to this local repository and the rebuild of the checksums. Theoretically one can use remote (online) repositories for add-on packages, too, but this is currently not well integrated. It's more stuff for 5.1...
