No. there is are no noarch packages available for the "No Match for argument:" macpakges. OSCAR search for the x86_64 AND noarch for every package. I don't know why. > > > Did you copy all the RPMs of the openSUSE 10.2 DVD to > > > /tftpboot/distro/suse-10.2-x86_64, or did you create the file > > > /tftpboot/distro/suse-10.2-x86_64.url? I put a .url file (/tftpboot/distro/suse-10.2-x86_64.url) with the content http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.2/repo/oss/suse/ to /tftboot/distro. Now at Step4 the target distribution is shown as suse-10.2-x86_64. > This is a long shot, but perhaps try cd into > /tftpboot/distro/suse-10.2-x86_64 and run `createrepo .` and then > re-run the installer and see if it goes. You are right. There was no repocache/repodata and pool_..........md5 in this directory. It looks like OSCAR didn't create the repodata or check the repodata there. Is this normal for OSCAR? See: --> Network interface: eth1 --> Linux distribution: suse 10.2 --> Kernel version: 2.6.18.2-34-default --> Architecture: x86_64 --> Running in directory: /opt/oscar --> PATH: /opt/mpich-ch_p4-gcc-1.2.7/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/opt/kde3/sbin:/opt/gnome/sbin:/root/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/bin:/usr/games:/opt/gnome/bin:/opt/kde3/bin:/opt/sge/bin/lx26-amd64:/opt/pvm3/lib:/opt/pvm3/lib/LINUX64:/opt/pvm3/bin/LINUX64:/opt/env-switcher/bin:/opt/pbs/bin:/opt/pbs/lib/xpbs/bin:/usr/lib64/jvm/jre/bin:/opt/c3-4/:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin --> Running: "./oscar_wizard install" -------->>>>> POOL: /tftpboot/distro/suse-10.2-x86_64 -------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CMD: /opt/oscar/scripts/build_oscar_repo -d common-rpms -t /tftpboot/oscar -------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CMD: /opt/oscar/scripts/build_oscar_repo -d common-rpms -t /tftpboot/oscar -i /var/lib/oscar/packages -------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CMD: /opt/oscar/scripts/build_oscar_repo -d common-rpms -t /tftpboot/oscar -i /var/lib/oscar/packages --add Building repositories with binary packages from the OSCAR tree /opt/oscar Copying packages ... from /opt/oscar/share/prereqs ---------------------------------> common-rpms from /opt/oscar/packages ---------------------------------> common-rpms from /var/lib/oscar/packages ---------------------------------> common-rpms cp: cannot stat `/var/lib/oscar/packages/*/distro/common-rpms/*.rpm': No such file or directory Creating repository metadata Creating repodata cache for /tftpboot/oscar/common-rpms 43/43 - packman-depman-2.8-1.noarch.rpm Saving Primary metadata Saving file lists metadata Saving other metadata Checksumming directory /tftpboot/oscar/common-rpms Executing: find . -follow -type f \( -name '*.rpm' -o -name '*.deb' \) -printf "%p %s %u %g %m %t\n" | sort | md5sum - Checksum was: c3702efd39117a49fcfcbfbf44642ede Wrote checksum file /tftpboot/oscar/common-rpms/pool_oscar_common-rpms.md5: c3702efd39117a49fcfcbfbf44642ede -------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CMD: /opt/oscar/scripts/build_oscar_repo -d suse-10.2-x86_64 -t /tftpboot/oscar -------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CMD: /opt/oscar/scripts/build_oscar_repo -d suse-10.2-x86_64 -t /tftpboot/oscar -i /var/lib/oscar/packages -------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CMD: /opt/oscar/scripts/build_oscar_repo -d suse-10.2-x86_64 -t /tftpboot/oscar -i /var/lib/oscar/packages --add Building repositories with binary packages from the OSCAR tree /opt/oscar Copying packages ... from /opt/oscar/share/prereqs ---------------------------------> suse10.2-x86_64 cp: cannot stat `/opt/oscar/share/prereqs/*/distro/suse10.2-x86_64/*.rpm': No such file or directory from /opt/oscar/packages ---------------------------------> suse10.2-x86_64 cp: cannot stat `/opt/oscar/packages/*/distro/suse10.2-x86_64/*.rpm': No such file or directory from /var/lib/oscar/packages ---------------------------------> suse10.2-x86_64 cp: cannot stat `/var/lib/oscar/packages/*/distro/suse10.2-x86_64/*.rpm': No such file or directory Creating repository metadata Creating repodata cache for /tftpboot/oscar/suse-10.2-x86_64 22/22 - kdebindings3-3.5.5-29.x86_64.rpm Saving Primary metadata Saving file lists metadata Saving other metadata Checksumming directory /tftpboot/oscar/suse-10.2-x86_64 Executing: find . -follow -type f \( -name '*.rpm' -o -name '*.deb' \) -printf "%p %s %u %g %m %t\n" | sort | md5sum - Checksum was: 36afacc287c85fc4cba9082d1a320f7f Wrote checksum file /tftpboot/oscar/suse-10.2-x86_64/pool_oscar_suse-10.2-x86_64.md5: 36afacc287c85fc4cba9082d1a320f7f It is strange that /tftpboot/distro/suse-10.2-x86_64 is found correct but some cp commands have suse10.2-x86_64 as system found.
