I think it is DongInn who has added the extra packages, although I did offer a
python-elementtree package at one point.
I have just tried ganglia and it works fine, although I only have a four-node
cluster, so if your problem was getting five nodes working then it might not be
fixed ;-)
ether-wake has stopped working though. To be fair, it only worked for a brief
time previously, while I was testing Fedora 8 worked on my hardware. I was
hoping to wake all the machines in the cluster from the etc/rc.d/rc.local
script.... I could manage with something that makes the speaker beep so I know
when to turn the other machines on (i.e. when the home directory share is
available).

Hi Steve,
Thank you very much for checking fc8 x86_64 and i see you have added to the
packages in OSCAR 5.1 crispy nightly repo!
Does ganglia work for you?
Check it out with your browser http://localhost/ganglia with your full cluster
on. All the nodes should show up. I did not get ganglia to work but maybe after
your sucess i should reinstall my BASEMENT cluster!
You can donate your cluster time to GIMPS!
Thank you,
Cheers,

I finally got around to testing nightly 6872 (which I downloaded and
installed the packages for a few days ago). It works - I get an "All tests
passed" message :-).
Notes: I reinstalled the OS, as my previous install was a crazy combination
of packages. I created a url file with a mirror and didn't stray too far from
the defaults. When I went to configure "switcher", the confgure GUI just said
"No pkg_config were supplied by any OSCAR packages -- nothing to configure".
Thanks for your all your effort. Now I just have to remember what I was
intending to do with the cluster :-)

Steve.

OK, Steve, I just fixed the c3.conf issue and F8-X86_64 should be good to go
too.
http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/trac/oscar/changeset/6870
Please try to test with the newest nightly tarball and see what happens.

BTW, I think you should use Fedora 8 remote distro repository which is close to
your cluster. I have not added the packages which are available on the Fedora
distro repository because they are attainable from the fedora distro remote
repos.
For example, I add the fedor 8 mirror site(e.g., Indiana University mirror) to
my fedora-8-x86_64.url
