Hi Jason,

I tried that yesterday too. I tried various things with the host file (like
moving the 127.0 line to the bottom of the file, examined the field
separator etc. etc. ) I tried it again as you suggested and it still failed
with the same error. I am looking for more suggestions. 

Should the host file on the compute nodes contain the same info? (I assume)

Tom, did you find out anything from the info that I sent you this morning?

Remove the localhost.localdomain entry from the line beginning with
