This should be due to a bad hostname (i.e localhost.localdomain). Look at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=9368&atid=109368&func=detail&aid=587602
Change hostname and get a new shell. Make sure hostname is set properly (`hostname`) and try again.
