Hi.

Now I try to install OSCAR 2.2 on RH 7.3 ,I use floppy disk to network boot
the
clients during "setup networking" step, and the clients can be installed
from the
image file without any problems. But when I boot the clients from hard drive
after
installation, the clients can't mount the NFS to server, the error message
is

---------------------------------------------------------------------
eth0: Transmit timed out, status 0002, PHY status 786d, resetting...
eth0: Transmit timed out, status 0003, PHY status 786d, resetting...
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I also can't ping from the clients to my server or from my server to
clients.

I try several times to reinstall oscar 2.2, the result are same. Then I
doubt the
problem comes from my integrated LAN on Biostar M7VIG PRO motherborad. The
chipset
of this integrated LAN is VT-6103, and I search the google, find the similar
problems
do exist. It looks like the RH7.3 doesn't support this chipset very well.

I check the VIA website, they have no such LAN drive for VT-6103. And
someone recommend
to update the kernel to 2.4.19. Is there any good ideas?

Thanks a lot

Li
