I am trying to set-up a 16 Node cluster using OCSAR v2.3 on RedHat Linux 9.0 Operating
system
I downloaded and installed OSCAR v2.3 on Red Hat Linux 9.0 server. I followed the
instructions and setup 16 client nodes. Step 7(complete installation) results were
successful,but the final step (step 8) failed some of the tests.
following were the results of the test step:
PBS node check [PASSED]
PBS Service check: pbs_server [PASSED]
Maui service check:maui [PASSED]

MPICH (via PBS) [FAILED]
checking for 16 free Nodes. [FAILED]
Not enough free nodes. Test incomplete.
After i rebooted the Server, and running the Test step, i got the following error
message.
DBI connects ( 'oscar', 'oscar,---) failed: can't connect to local MySql sever through
socket '/var/lib/mysql.sock' (2) at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/oda.pm line 318
cannot read installable packages list form the ODA database. at
/opt/oscar/lib/OSCAR/Package.pm line 164.

SSH ping test [PASSED]
SSH server->node [PASSED]
SSH node ->server [PASSED]
enter quit to exit.
