Hi,
I am trying to set up a Cluster of HP Proliant G3 Servers and they have SCSI controler that cales which goes by the name of Smart Array. And as always the words inteligent, smart and easy in combination of hard or soft ware makes me suspicius. Now here is my Problem, the actual device is located under /dev/cciss/disc0/disk and the partitions under /dev/cciss/disk0/part{0..n}. Now when I write the file describing the disk partition I naturaly use /dev/cciss/disk0/part0 for example as deice. Now when I then try to install the client the system instaler bails out with the error: can't stat /dev/cciss/disk0/part.
I beleve the error comes from the asumtion that the partition for example in /dev/hda0 is on the drive located at /dev/hda but this is not the case here. My Problem I have loked around and not found a clue where to find further help or documentation. Any Ideas?
