Hi Bruce:

Not sure what that error message is, but you can try what Michael
suggested.  I suppose those compilers are in .bin format or something?
Basically you can chroot to the image's environment and manipulate the
files as if you are on the actual node (well quite a few system files
are missing, but it should be sufficient for installing most programs).
So just make sure you copy the binary file to your image's /tmp
directory first (/var/lib/systemimager/images/<imagename>/tmp) and then
do a chroot:

chroot /var/lib/systemimager/images/<imagename>

Then you can install the program off the /tmp directory.

REMEMBER to exit from the chroot'ed environment after you're done,
otherwise you would easily forget where you are! :)
