Thank for the suggestion, but I think I asked the wrong question. I tried
running "cexec mount /home" from root on the server and (after asking for a
password) it says that it is already mounted per mtab on the client.
I am beginning to understand that the password prompts are normally part of
steps 7 and 8 right? What I should be concerned about is the exact error
messages so I am including a log of my oscar wizard session (cut and paste from
the shell inline below).
Please have a look at the lines that being "mkstemp" and "rsync error". Please
not the user is vtrandal and not oscartst. What do the error messages mean?
How can I fix them? I was able to get rid of these errors by doing
*everything* from root (root login and startx as root and deleted all user
accounts) but step 8 happens (fails?) too rapidly to see the final result. So
running as root is not a solution.
