We would definitely welcome this approach. I just have 2 comments: 1) If you are just experimenting with cluster and with OSCAR and have the time, yeah try to install on x86_64 and post your results, we will try our best to accommodate 2) If you are just interested in building a production cluster, then I suggest stick with FC2 i386. Unless your cluster nodes have > 4G RAM, the 64-bit version of Linux will not be very useful to you.
