Yep, you are correct on both counts. I'm using RHEL4. I've seen SELinux break
things many times before, but "permissive" always worked in those cases. Not
this time though. The image builds just fine with "disabled."

Many thanks,

Matthew

Quoting Bernard Li <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Yes, I believe you need to disable it.

I presume you are either running Fedora Core 3 or Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 4 & clones.

Cheers,

Bernard

Hmm, I don't think that's it, unless there's something wrong
with running in
"permissive" mode:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] oscar]# cat /etc/sysconfig/selinux
# This file controls the state of SELinux on the system.
# SELINUX= can take one of these three values:
# enforcing - SELinux security policy is enforced.
# permissive - SELinux prints warnings instead of enforcing.
# disabled - SELinux is fully disabled.
SELINUX=permissive
# SELINUXTYPE= type of policy in use. Possible values are:
# targeted - Only targeted network daemons are protected.
# strict - Full SELinux protection.
SELINUXTYPE=targeted

Thanks,

Matthew
