Title: Re: [Oscar-users] add new nodes
Hi ST:

A word of warning - it seems like you are installing OSCAR 4.2 on top of a previous version of OSCAR.  We do _not_ test this configuration and it is therefore unsupported.  It is recommended that you re-install the headnode with a clean installation of the OS and install OSCAR.

Having said that, it seems that currently the code to install perl-XML-Simple just checks to see if it is installed, and does not actually check the version (4.2.1 requires perl-XML-Simple 2.0.8, wheras OSCAR 4.0 provides version 1.0.8).  Can you help us file a bug regarding this issue?  It is a minor bug, but I think it should be fixed.

Please file a bug under Group 5.0 and we'll take a look at it:

Thanks,

Bernard

Hi Bernard,

Thanks for the advice. The log file is attached.
Can you teach me the way to install perl-XML-Simple manually? Thanks.
