Sanity check please...
I have an OSCAR 4.2 / FC3 based cluster humming along pretty well. (TORQUE 1.2.0p5 & Maui 3.2.5p2)
I have determined that I need to upgrade to more recent versions of both to see if I can solve certain configuration issues I'm experiencing before either going after developers to fix the problems, work on them myself, or try to convince the powers that be that we'll need to buy the Moab cluster suite.
Would it be conceivable to grab the RPMs from the OSCAR 5.X snapshots and somehow upgrade just the TORQUE and Maui components in my installation? Yeah it may be a little work and I may have few more things to deal with going forward, but is it possible? Any suggestions on how this could be done?
Or... am I just out of my gourd and should setup a completely new head node with a whole new OSCAR installation?
Any assistance / help / encouragement / advice greatly appreciated.... thx in advance!
