Yes, if you alter any files in the image, they will be distributed
when the nodes are set up.
Some files are altered by, or are generated by, systemimager itself,
but most of those are network and disk related as I understand things
(/etc/fstab is generated by SIS for example and is not present in the
image).

If you have exsisting nodes you can update them using cpush/cexec, or
simply correct the image and reclone them.
