If you can get the head node to work, you should be able to get the
clients to work if they all have the same network cards.  It might
just be a mater of updating the modprobe.conf (or is it modules.conf?)
file with the driver name from the head node.

Is the node install failing when it tries to PXE boot, after it gets
its DHCP info (so somewhere , or after it reboots?

If it can clone the node then you can fix the node image with the
correct driver so the NIC comes up on reboot.

If you can't get the node cloned then you might want to try the 5.0
tree which has a feature where it can use the kernel and associated
modules which are currently running on the head node instead of the
custom SIS kernel.

This is too bad, I have always had really good luck with cards using
the tg3 driver...
