The OSCAR toolkit is a quick, easy, and consistent way of making
Beowulf style computing clusters. What I do with them is work on very
large scientific models which would simply take much to long on a
single computer to be practical. OSCAR is very well suited to this
application and this is what I would guess most people are using OSCAR
for.
It could be used for many other things, including something as simple
as setting up a computer lab very quickly, but this is further outside
the box and will require more work from the user.
What made you interested in installing OSCAR to begin with? What
problem are you trying to solve using a cluster of computers?
