I recently added severl Dual Opteron compute nodes with HT1000 disk
controller to a Intel Xeon cluster running Scientic Linux 4.2 with
Oscar 4.2.

Upgraded the whole cluster to Scientific Linux 4.4 with Oscar 5.0

Server installation and imaging went fine. The intel clients reboot
fine, but the AMD clients reboot to kernel panic with problem mounting
root partition.
##
Loading ext3.ko module
Creating root device
Mounting root filesystem
mount: error 6 mounting ext3
mount: error 2 mounting none
Switching to new root
switchroot: mount failed: 22
umount /initrd/dev failed: 2
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

I tried a standalone installation on one of the client and it booted
up perfectly. View the /etc/modprobe.conf, I noticed that there should
be a sata_svw driver for HT1000.

Using rescue CD, I edited the /etc/modprobe.conf to include the sata
driver. Reboot, still not luck. Kernel panic again.
Also, there is no hardware.lst on the client node.

Where should I try to edit and where can I edit the image to make
other clients work fine too?
