The instructions in for trunk do not really cover the instance of two networking interfaces. I originally did that to both keep things simple and because I had never gotten it to work. Since then I have gotten it to work fairly consistently, but I have never gotten around to documenting it properly.

You'll probably also want to look at this page http://tldp.org/HOWTO/IP-Masquerade-HOWTO/ for instructions on how to use iptables to route traffic from the cluster network to the outside.
