I'm sorry, but I do not know the program "3D max studio". If that program
can run in parallel (i.e. spawn processes across multiple nodes), then
you can use the cluster to increase the rendering speed.

>From what I know, rendering programs are normally used on clusters to render
multiple separate images in parallel. The typical usage for rendering is
trivial parallel: you create many separate rendering jobs and let the job
scheduler (for example torque+maui) run them on the cluster. The job
scheduler will take care of load-balancing the jobs across all nodes.

Maybe somebody on the mailing list has a similar application, therefore I
