Hmmm, I am just curious.
What do you get from the following command?
rpm -qa --qf '%{NAME}-%{ARCH}\n' | grep i386

or

rpm -qa --qf '%{NAME}-%{ARCH}\n' | grep i686

I would like to see if there is no packages built with i386 or i686 or not on 
SuSE.
