Hello all. I have a problem when I try to image the computenodes of an oscar cluster.
After the MAC addres discovery and assing, when I boot the compute nodes they seem to find the entry point for PXE but they never boot. The screen on a compute node looks like: Headnode is 192.168.1.100 Computenode is 192.168.1.101 PXELINUX 3.31 0X46f43c1e Copyright (etc) UNDI data segment at: 00090520 UNDI data segment size: 6350 UNDI code segment at: 00096870 UNDI code segment size: 44C0 PXE entry point found (we hope) at 9687:0106 My IP address seems to be C0A80165 192.168.1.101 ip=192.168.1.101:0.0.0.0:192.168.1.100:255.255.255.0 TFTP prefix: Trying to load: pxelinux.cfg/01-00-30-48-7f-45-99 Trying to load: pxelinux.cfg/C0A80165 In the /var/log/messages on the server I can see: dhcpd: oscar_server: host unknown. dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:30:48:7f:45:99 via eth1 dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.1.101 (192.168.1.100) from 00:30:48:7f:45:99 via eth1 dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.1.101 to 00:30:48:7f:45:99 via eth1 atftpd[28062]: Serving pxelinux.0 to 192.168.1.101:2070 atftpd[28062]: Serving pxelinux.0 to 192.168.1.101:2071 syslog-ng[9353]: STATS: dropped 0 The Oscar Version is 5.1b2 Linux is Opensuse 10.3 x86_64 uname -a: Linux irbhead 2.6.22-5-31-default the problem is in step 6 no third party packages The hardware is a supermicro X7DWT. I've tried as well UYOK but when I press "Setup Network Boot" an error is displayed: I couldn't identify your kernel file. Please try to use --kernel option. I've tried as well using UYOK manually: si_prepareclient --server 192.168.1.100 --no-rsyncd --kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22.5-31-default --modules-dir /lib/modules/2.6.22.5-31-default and then copying the initrd and kernel under /etc/systemimager/boot to /tftpboot.
