The hosts file needs to contain the name generated by the "hostname"
command.

It also needs to contain a fully qualified domain name, even if it isn't
"real".

so if the hostname of the server is oscar_server it should also have
oscar_server.oscardomain in the host file as well.

If you have multiple network cards, which it looks like you may, it is
slightly more complicated than this, but not much.
