It's been a couple weeks since I have been trying to install Oscar 5.1 on
Fedora 8.
I have been able to make my way through some major errors I encountered
during the installation procedure. I resolved some of them by using a
Fedora 7 file for a Fedora 8 file, using a lot of rpms from rpmfind.net and
of course, with the help of some Oscar users lists, installing from the beta
2 version while taking the RC1 for the Oscar base.
So far, I was able to get to step 3 of the wizard when a lot of rpms from
the fc-8-i386.rpmlist file were not on the DVD of Fedora 8. I finally tried
(out of the blue) the rpmlist file from Fedora 9 and it worked. Now step 3
gives me errors for not being able to install all the packages starting with
"opkg". Now this one I am a bit confused because they are all there in the
"/tftpboot/oscar/fc-8-i386" directory...
Anyone had that problem before.
