Thanks, Allan.

Did not use trailing spaces (this was absolutely confirmed today) - the
script invented one for the first of my nodes (but not for the other 15,
another hint). Could not delete with the Delete Client (otherwise I would
not be writing ;) - there were many errors, but they're real; subsequent
checks in the MySQL database ibdata1 (strings ibdata1| grep wulfnode), or
simply looking at what clients were still defined through the GUI itself,
indicates that in fact a client name that gets a space in it cannot be
removed. The scripts choke trying to do so.

I'm guessing it was my selecting a non-default (non-"0") padding
that allowed a goof by the script - there would be no attempt to
insert anything between node number and base name, otherwise, and
as you indicate, you didn't use padding, and evidently it works
fine for you. (I;m also guessing it would do exactly the same thing with
the dafault "oscarnode" Base Name, with a non-default "padding". Hence,
padding is evil here)

I can get to this point from a freshly-formatted disk in about three
hours. Perhaps I'll pave one more time if nobody has a quick fix.

thanks,
Chris
