I did it now with the OFED packages only from the the CentOS repository which are based on OFED 1.3. That means I am a version behind the newest OFED 1.4, but I don't have dependency problems between packages from CentOS and OFED. Then I tried something else: I compiled only the different MPI versions from OFED 1.4 and removed afterwards all packages installed from OFED for dependencies (only a few) EXEPT the MPI packages. That worked well and saved me to compile all MPI versions with differnt compilers by hand. So far I have tested openmpi, mvapich, and mvapich and all of them worked fine.
