Hello,

I will try to improve that later; i think the problem is that MySQL on CentOS
as a root password by default so the OSCAR code needs to be slightly updated.
Thanks for your feedback.

Regards,

Objet: [Oscar-users] MySQL during bootstrap

Hello,

I have just noticed something strange: during oscar-config --bootstrap
--verbose, the installer complained about mysql already having a root
password. This message turned out to be misleading -- the mysql server
was not even running. After # service mysqld start, oscar-config
proceeded nicely.
The logs seem to indicate that the installer does start mysqld, but
only after trying to connect to it:

--> Prereq status for centos, 5, x86_64
found matching block [centos:.*:.*]
--> Prereqs status (/usr/share/oscar/prereqs/oda):
-->     mysql:                  is installed
-->     perl-DBD-MySQL:                         is installed
-->     perl-DBI:                       is installed
-->     mysql-server:                   is installed
