Based on the return from users, it seems that this is because of a bad interaction between OSCAR and SystemImager. If you browse the mailing list, you will see suggestions from different persons, some seem to work but unfortunately, nobody gave me enough details so i could integrate that at least in OSCAR-6.x. Typically the solution is to copy the /etc/modprobe.conf file from your head node to the image and force the creation of the initrd into the image. I do not know if that will fix your issue but i guess you can give it a try. Finally, please, if you manage to resolve the problem, send me the details about what you did, otherwise it is impossible to push the modification upstream.
