Hi Costel,

I need to fix this in SystemImager. Right now, the new systemimager crash at
boot because the udevd is not in sync with the kernel. What was the missing net
driver? Maybe it is already available in 2.6.34.1 kernel, and thus I could
update it?

PS: there is a bug in the /etc/dhcp/dhcpd/conf creation: the gateway is wrong.
did you correct it? (it's on my todo list).

Olivier.

Objet : Re: [Oscar-users] RE : OSCAR 6 installation

Hello,

I successfully created the OSCAR 6 SIS image for CentOS 6 and continued setup
till the nodes installation.

Here I encounter an issue I already had in the past.

When I boot the node using PXE, it gets the information from the OSCAR master
but it fails
at DHCPDISCOVER just afterwards (after downloading the initrd.img ).
This happened to me in the past because the node has hardware newer then the
master node
and the initrd.img and the kernel do not contain the right NIC driver.

To test, I copied the initrd.img and vmlinuz located onto the CentOS 6.3 media
at
/media/CentOS_6.3_Final/images/pxeboot
Into the /tftpboot
and it passes the DHCPDISCOVER step (but it seems launching the installation
from the media).

Does somebody know how I can build updated initrd.img and kernel files
including the last NIC drivers?

Kind Regards,
Costel SEITAN
