looking at this post, it looks like the poor standards of teaching of
CS (Comp Sc.) is also a problem in some Uni's in US...

as one of the posters mentioned:

"..The reason is that people who teach programming don't program, as
far as I can tell."

this may be the root of the problem. Unis & Colleges require that
lecturers have a Ms degree, but not how many years they've worked in
'real' industry. Maybe they should invite real working professionals
as assoc. lecturers..
