well a lot of it will be mute.... when the browser is now predominately the 'acting' desktop, no?
For the average PC user, what is the time spent on browser (web-mail, facebook, reading news, researching, browsing...) verses desktop apps? And if you take MS Office out of the desktop apps, the numbers will be even more skewed towds browsers..., no? IE is still dominant becos IE is shipped with PCs and the the average joe isn't bother/knows how to download FFox or Chrome. And things will change when Chome starts shipping on netbooks... And I see the numbers for OSS browsers climbing and IE slowly sliding... And maybe the significance is not in the current numbers, but the trends?
