Guys,
This is a good reference of comtemplative thought for VCs and those
interested in the business model of Open Source projects. Frank Scavo is
a reputable and active think-tank in US. Please see
http://fscavo.blogspot.com/2010/06/open-source-not-immune-to-erp-vendor.html
By the way, there will be regional cheer this Saturday in Phuket when i
have the honour to represent ADempiere and KPerak INC to sign an MOU
agreeing the use of Open Source ERP software based on ADempiere for
Thailand Halal Logistics Hub in the IMT-GT. It will be witnessed by the
Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Dr. Trairong Suwankeeree (Thailand
has 3 DPMs and he is the 2nd). Please see

This means 2 peculiar firsts that are so ironic:
1. Global Halal consciousness was a Malaysian initiative. See how
Thailand is doing this for IMT-GT.
2. ADempiere is Malaysian born and led. See further Thailand's
remarkable positioning move with it.
This brings mix feelings to my patriotism. I hope the 10MP can make some
sense to address such issues of brain and IP drain, innovativeness adn
creativity coming from neighbouring countries instead.
Some salvaging here at least is that KPerak INC (after an unavoidable
delay due to political reasons) has returned in full force of support
for its 2007 letter to me in ADempiere USA. Together with Libya's eGovt
initiative i hope to rekindle my 'MSC8's Malaysia Gift To The World from
a farm' dreams and hope in Perak Darul Red1 cool quiet away from the
sleepy lie of CyberJaya.
Auf Wiedersehen
