Centos would only provide support via community. Commercial support would be from 3rd part vendor (including Centos themselves or those whom they recommend).
Issues/Bugs encountered by Centos users/developers/community are usually feedback to Redhat. Redhat have either choice of fixing it or deferring it (since they're not obliged to support). Centos community/developers usually provides temporary workarounds until an official fix from Redhat released and supersedes it. If the issue is critical enough, Redhat would release an immediate fix, garnering goodwill from both Centos community and Redhat customers whom 'Get a Fix' before being in a fix! If a Centos user is desperate enough, they can always buy Redhat's Support subscription, backup the apps and data, reinstall and restore the system running Redhat and voila! That's why Redhat loves these guys! One of their marketing strategy today is to convert those Centos users to paid subscriptions Redhat users. Redhat makes money by providing support subscription and also providing pre-compiled binaries to its subscribers.
